That last part was funny. I think he said that as a joke because it's such an outrageous idea that it's laughable. Or so he thinks ;)

Or an alternative interpretation is that he laughs, so that those who feel the need, can pretend and take it as just a joke! :)

I think that when I become a robot I would still like to have some feelings. Maybe we could just remove the unpleasant ones. ;)
