Kurzweil interview from 1999
An interview with Ray Kurzweil from almost a decade ago. Some of his predictions for 2009 from Age of Spiritual Machines are on target, such as small lightweight portable computers, whilst others seem unlikely to happen in the next couple of years, such as ubiquitous use of speech recognition.

Good find. What caught my attention, though, was that had it been done this year, it wouldn't have been very different. I mean, other than a few details, most of the major predictions and arguments about AI are the same. This could mean that Kurzweil had it all figured out since that time, or that things are not changing as fast as he anticipated.
