Why have a blog that simply links to articles somewhere else? A news aggregator, like this one, is better for that purpose. A blog should, ideally, publish new material that's not somewhere else.

Nice site. And in reply to wal, I think this kind of blog provides more flexibility than a news aggregator, it allows the blog author to comment on the articles and invite commentary and discussion from the blog readers. A human choosing which news links and reports are worth the time and effort of reading (and explaining why) is far better than an aggregator selecting all AI or nanotech reports (for example) and just listing them all.

Hi there, as one of the developers of this site I thought I should add a comment. Futurehead is intended to be a news site, but with the addition of a blog, and also a kind of commentary section (which in effect is also a blog, but which we intend to have open to guest contributors). We haven't gone down the news aggregator route because, as jadvais correctly suggested, we want to check and control of what we publish.

We do however have a newsfeed section with updates from a variety of sources. In any case its early days for us, so hopefully the site will evolve nicely over time.
